WORSHIP BEGINS AGAIN ON PENTECOST SUNDAY MAY 31 Sunday worship will resume at 9:30 a.m. on Pentecost Sunday, May 31, 2020. Pentecost marks the "birthday" of the Christian Church when we celebrate the power of the Holy Spirit coming to Jesus' followers and uniting them in their shared faith. What a wonderful day for us to gather as the church and have our faith affirmed and renewed by worshiping together again! The state of Massachusetts has established clear and comprehensive regulations to allow us to gather and worship with a minimum risk to our health. The leadership of the church fully endorse these common-sense policies. Policies require every person at worship to wear face masks. Also, except for immediate families sitting together, all worshipers must maintain proper social distancing during worship. To facilitate this, we have blocked off some pews to help us space ourselves safely. Current guidelines prohibit any fellowship time ("coffee hour") after service and we will suspend the passing of the peace.
We may still not be able to hug each other (for the time being) but finally we can meet, and pray, and sing, and laugh, and worship together again.
Please check the church Facebook page for additional updates.
As always, please take care of yourself, please pray for those people who have this disease, and please pray for the safety of the many selfless health care workers who risk their own well-being to be there for other.
